Cala’n Bosch Menorca
Cala’n Bosch (Cala en Bosch) is located on the South West tip of Menorca, approximately 60 minutes away from Mahon airport. Close to the city of Ciutadella and on beautifully clear days you can see across the Mediterranean to Majorca, the neighbouring island.
Cala’n Bosch Overview
One of the slightly larger resorts on the island, Cala’n Bosch offers a nice variety of activities for families, not to mention the Waterpark.
Neighbouring two other resorts of Son Xoriguer and Cap d’Artrutx there are plenty of bars and restaurants to visit during your stay. But, being purpose built for tourism you can expect there are a healthy variety of accommodation, conversely this means in the low season Cala’n Bosch and the neighbouring villages are very quiet.

Cala’n Bosch Beach
There are a few beaches in the vicinity, but not as large as other resorts such as Son Bou.
You have the Cala’n Bosch beach itself located a stones throw from the Marina of Cala’n Bosch, which is the largest within the 3 small resorts and provides good protection from the waves for smaller children and good opportunities to go snorkeling around the coast. Then there’s Son Xoriguer beach which provides a nice sheltered sandy beach. On the west of the resort, you won’t find any sandy beaches, but shrub lands and rough terrain.
You can also rent sun loungers during the day. For 2 sun loungers and parasol expect to pay up to €19 for all day, with discounts later on in the day.
Shopping in Cala’n Bosch
You’ll find a few small supermarkets dotted around Cala’n Bosch, including the Marina for instance. However if you want a larger weekly shop and to save some money, I would recommend heading to Ciutadella.
Also you’ll find various small clothing shops around and independent shops in the summer time where you can pick up some hand crafted items for a good price. But again, it may be worthwhile heading to Ciutadella for more variety and choice.
Cala’n Bosch Nightlife
Like many other resorts in Menorca, they aren’t many pubs, bars, cafes and nightclubs. Don’t expect to be partying until the early hours of the morning, for that head to Mahon, Ciutadella or the renowned Cave Club.
However, for some good food, nice wine and a good atmosphere head to the marina. In the height of summer you’ll have hand crafted jewelers and merchants as well as frequent entertainment.
Cala’n Bosch Marina
Something which not every Menorcan resort can offer. So head to the marina for a slightly different evening. As mentioned above, during the summer you can often find locals performing, small stalls selling hand made products. And of course, like many places on the island great for families and relatively safe.
Cala’n Bosch WiFi
Internet is easily and readily available in almost every bar and restaurant in Cala’n Bosch However, the majority will require a password, which usually requires you to purchase a drink or some food in the particular establishment.
